Judging by the feedback following the Harnessing Digital Technology in Social Care: Quality and Efficiency held in Greenwich, Tech for Care’s first event was a success. Supported by The Royal Borough of Greenwich Adult Social Care, the event brought together local authority staff, care providers, regulators and people using care from all over the UK & Europe. All were here for a common purpose: to enrich the social care sector with cutting-edge technologies.

The venue was ideally located at a 2-minute walk from the iconic O2 Arena at Greenwich, London. Throughout the day, there were engaging talks and debates led by industry experts. With Keynote speech by Dave James, Head of Adult Social Care Policy at CQC.

This unique event focused on enlightening the social care providers, council staff and social care service users about digital technology.

The day highlighted the various aspects and benefits of adopting state-of-the-art technologies for the social care sector. A wealth of invaluable information was shared to improve the quality and effectiveness of the care people receive.

There were also product demonstrations and interactive sessions to enlighten the audience. Each talk was followed by a Q&A session to address any concerns that social care sector representatives might have.
